What is a Good Design?

Good Design is the oldest Polish design competition. It has been distinguishing well-designed products for almost 30 years. Experts from the Institute of Industrial Design and a jury composed of independent specialists select the best design in over twenty categories.

This year we present a new version of the competition, adapted to the changing reality. We have introduced a new division of categories, and two meta categories: “Innovations” and “Green Pattern”. The house category has been divided, thanks to which we can even better distinguish projects that deserve a laurel.

We are increasing the scope and prestige of the competition by inviting a wide range of content and media partners. We open up to cooperation with large companies and change the formula so that small, craft brands can also take part in it.

We also give very young brands a chance, offering them preferential conditions for participation in the competition. At the same time, we are increasing the number of awards and categories so that Good Design could realistically and modernly map Polish good design.

We want us to be able to surround ourselves with well-designed, beautiful objects on a daily basis. And thus support the Polish economy.
